How to Use Our Search Feature
- When you search, check the "Search Titles & Description" box
We've added small descriptive words in our listings to let you find groups of cards, or cards you know something about but just can't recall the names of. Over time, we will add these terms to every single listing to which they apply, to make things convenient for you. Here is a list of some of those terms with examples... try them out sometime!
Magic: The Gathering search terms
CARD COLORS: white, green, blue, red, black, colorless (or a combination of these)
CARD TYPES: creature, instant, sorcery, enchantment, aura, planeswalker, tribal, artifact, land, legendary
CREATURE TYPES: too many to list, includes things like goblin, elf, sliver, ninja, rogue, warrior
LAND TYPES: dual land, fetch land, pain land, shock land, basic land
ante - any card that uses the ante mechanic (ex: Darkpact, Contract from Below, Bronze Tablet)
burn - deals direct damage to creatures or players (ex: Fireball, Pyrokinesis, Magmatic Core)
counterspell - counters spells (ex: Mana Leak, Counterbalance, Voidmage Prodigy, Standstill)
discard - forces opponent to discard (ex: Mind Twist, Ravenous Rats, Hypnotic Specter)
drawing - lets you draw cards (ex: Braingeyser, Howling Mine, Arcanis the Omnipotent, Careful Study, Wheel of Fortune)
landkill - destroys land (ex: Stone Rain, Armageddon, Demonic Hordes, Wildfire, Mana Vortex)
lifegain - gives you life (ex: Fountain of Youth, Ivory Tower, Stream of Life, Spirit Link)
mana - cards which produce mana (ex: Dark Ritual, Llanowar Elves, Mox Ruby, Lotus Petal, Elvish Spirit Guide)
milling - drains your opponent's deck size (ex: Millstone, Traumatize, Raven Guild Master)
reanimator - brings creatures from graveyard directly into play (ex: Zombify, Hell's Caretaker, Reya Dawnbringer)
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle search terms
CLAN NAMES: Brujah, Caitiff, Malkavian antitribu, Abomination, Gargoyle, etc.
DISCIPLINE NAMES: animalism, protean, celerity, dominate, vicissitude, etc.
CARD TYPES: master, combat, political, action modifier, crypt, etc.
CLAN SETS: will always have the word "clan" in the title
World of Warcraft TCG search terms
CARD TYPES: weapon, armor, item, quest, ally, pet, action, hero
FACTIONS: Alliance, Horde, Aldor, Scryer
CLASS: warlock, paladin, hunter, warrior, etc.
Universal search terms
[FOIL] - denotes a foil card, written this way to distinguish from cards that have "Foil" in their title
SET NAME: cards from every game will be identified by set in the listing
MULTIPLES: denotes small lots of cards: (ex: x4, x10, x20)
Search terms can be combined, too! (ex: instant discard, green mana elf, animalism retainer, warlock pet ally) |
